Introduction to the sSA pVPD Group
The sub-Saharan Africa Paediatric Vaccine Preventable Diseases (sSA pVPD) Group was established in 2009 in order to promote awareness of vaccine preventable paediatric disease and to decrease mortality and morbidity associated with these diseases.In order to ensure that our information is up-to-date and accurate, experts from the sSA pVPD Group meet biannually to discuss the latest data and information. The first meeting will be held on 30 October 2009 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The group comprises African experts from across the sub-Saharan region. Countries represented by our members include Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe
